SAHBA Background
Southern Arizona Home Builders Association -
The Community Builder
The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) represents more than 750 members. Established in 1952, its mission is to be an advocate for planning and implementing public policies that provide housing opportunities and consumer choice in the marketplace.
SAHBA represents building industry professionals, including land planners, engineers, and environmental consultants as well as builders, developers, trade contractors and the many supporting trade experts that are necessary to create, build, sell, furnish and maintain new homes and communities in Southern Arizona.
Members exchange information through networking and educational committees, trade shows, seminars and expositions.
Nationally, SAHBA is allied with the National Association of Home Builders. This affiliation gives SAHBA members access to information about national housing trends and a united voice to impact local and national housing policies.
SAHBA created the original Tucson Home Show in 1971 and has become one of the largest home shows in the United States. As one of the first consumer events ever held at the Tucson convention Center, "The Best Home Show Ever Built," remains the largest consumer event to be held at the TCC.
